Logistics is a key factor in business efficiency and profitability. The objective of the Logistics Day is to raise awareness of new management models and technologies applied to the supply chain.
What is logistics? Do I know my supply chain? Can I improve its performance? Can I reduce its costs? Supply chain and logistics management through the incorporation of new technologies, solutions and professional criteria is the great unknown and forgotten in business and industrial improvement plans.
The VII Logistics Day of Euskadi, organized by the Mobility and Logistics Cluster, in collaboration with Logistics & Automation, presented the latest advances in supply chain management, storage and distribution, focused on digitization and automation.

Logistics with renewable gases (biomethane and hydrogen).

Renewable gases, biomethane and hydrogen, are clean and sustainable energy sources that can contribute to the decarbonization of the transportation sector. These gases are produced from organic waste, biomass, renewable energies or water, and have little or no environmental impact. One of the main advantages of renewable gases is that they can be used in vehicles of all types, from passenger cars to buses, trucks, ships or airplanes. In addition, renewable gases are compatible with the existing natural gas infrastructure, which facilitates their distribution and storage. Another advantage of renewable gases is that they allow access to low-emission zones, which are urban areas where the circulation of polluting vehicles is restricted. Vehicles that run on biomethane or hydrogen have zero or very low emissions of CO2, NOx and particulates, which improves air quality and people’s health. Renewable gases are therefore an environmentally friendly and efficient alternative for the mobility of the future.
