SUSTAINABILITY AND COMPETITIVENESS ARE THE PROTAGONISTS OF THE 2ND EDITION OF EMPACK AND LOGISTICS & AUTOMATION BILBAO

  • The 2nd edition of Empack and Logistics & Automation Bilbao brought together 2,322 professionals at BEC to enjoy two days of business, networking, new products and a full programme of content, with specialised talks, live tours and a private visit to the Port of Bilbao.
  • 52% of the exhibiting companies have renewed their confidence in the event, reserving their participation for the next edition, which will take place on 26th and 27th February 2025.

4 March 2024.- Empack and Logistics & Automation Bilbao, closed last week its second edition in Bizkaia. For two days, the event brought together 2,322 professionals in search of the latest solutions in packaging, automation, warehousing, logistics and transport. The exhibition and training offer included 75 exhibiting companies and more than 50 speakers, as well as parallel activities, such as the Live Tours and the guided tour of the Port of Bilbao, which concluded with a cocktail-networking session at the Port’s own facilities.

Circular economy, decarbonisation, electrification, automation and digitalisation were the protagonists of an edition in which leading companies such as Coca-Cola, Kaiku, Iberdrola, Uvesco and Cepsa, among others, shared their experiences and knowledge with the sector, highlighting the importance of working sustainability hand in hand with competitiveness.

At the close of the event, 52% of the exhibiting companies had confirmed their participation for the 2025 edition, which will take place on 26th and 27th February, again at BEC. Diego Gómez, Sales Manager of Rajapack, a regular exhibitor at the editions of Empack and Logistics & Automation in Madrid and Oporto commented; ‘It is the first time we participate as exhibitors in Bilbao and we leave with a good feeling and a good quality of visitors, which will give us business opportunities. For us, the fact that you promote these events to bring together so many companies and businesses is a great opportunity. We will come back next year’.

The next stop for Empack and Logistics & Automation will be in just over a month’s time in Porto, where the seventh edition will be held on 17 and 18 April at Exponor.
