Empack and Logistics & Automation will return to Bizkaia next year after the success of its first edition in BEC

• 2,400 professional visitors did not want to miss the first meeting of its sector in the north of Spain.
• The organisers have announced that the next edition will take place on 28th and 29th February 2024, once again in Hall 2 of the BEC, and that more than 40% of the exhibition space has already been reserved by the exhibiting companies at this year’s event.

3 March 2023. Empack and Logistics & Automation Bilbao closed its first edition in Bizkaia yesterday with the attendance of 2,400 professional visitors. For two days, the event brought together the latest solutions in packaging, automation, warehousing, logistics and transport with 70 exhibiting companies and more than 50 speakers, being the first meeting point for professionals in the sector in the north of Spain.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Arantxa Tapia, Basque Government Minister for Economic Development, Sustainability and the Environment, who thanked the organisers for hosting the event to bring the packaging and logistics sectors closer to the Basque Country, hoping that this event, which is now starting, will continue to grow in the coming years. And so it will, since, following the success of the event, the organisers have announced the dates for the next edition in Bizkaia, which will be held on 28 and 29 February 2024, once again in Hall 2 of the BEC.

At the close of the event, many companies have confirmed their participation for next year, which means that 40% of the exhibition space for 2024 has already been booked. This is the case of Grupo Labelmarket, whose general manager, Gabriel Gil, pointed out that in just one day they had achieved the target number of contacts set for the two days of the fair. “We were aware of Empack and Logistics & Automation’s track record as a benchmark event, and we will continue to attend the Madrid edition, but it is a success and a joy for companies with interests in the region to have an annual edition of the trade fair in the north of Spain”.

Oscar Barranco, Managing Director of Easyfairs Iberia concluded that “it has been two days of business, content and professional meetings with very positive feedback from exhibitors, but also from visitors. The fact that the companies that have opted for us, participating as exhibitors in this first edition, are already booking their participation for 2024 is our most reliable indicator of the event’s success”.

The next stop for Empack and Logistics & Automation will be in just over a month’s time in Porto, where the sixth edition will be held on 19 and 20 April.
