6 April 2022
The Euskadi Mobility and Logistics Cluster and the Easyfairs group have reached an agreement to incorporate, from 2023, the Euskadi Logistics Day (organised by the Cluster) as a congress event within the Empack and Logistics & Automation Fair (organised by Easyfairs), whose first edition in Bilbao will be held on 1 and 2 March 2023 at the BEC -Bilbao Exhibition Center-. Furthermore, in May, the Euskalduna Palace will be the venue for the 7th Euskadi Logistics Conference, organised by the Cluster, with Empack and Logistics & Automation Bilbao as a collaborating company.
The 7th Euskadi Logistics Conference will take place on 11 May in a hybrid format: on-site for Cluster members and guests of the organisers; and virtual with free registration via the Zoom streaming platform. Automation, digitisation and supply chain planning will be the main themes of the meeting, with success stories presented by brands not only top-level in the sector, but also of great relevance in the industrial fabric of the Basque Country such as AR Racking, CLCircular, Dachser, Eroski, Mondragon Unibertsitatea, Port of Bilbao and Ulma Handling Systems. The conference will start at 09.00 and will conclude at 14.00.
The aim of the Mobility and Logistics Cluster of the Basque Country and its Logistics Conference is to publicise and raise awareness of the new management models and technologies applied to the supply chain. In this sense, Oscar Barranco, director of the Empack and Logistics & Automation Bilbao event, emphasises that the collaboration between the two entities favours the promotion and dissemination of the sector’s new developments: “Only through dissemination can growth and the search for new solutions be encouraged and meetings such as the Logistics Conference and our Bilbao Fair are, in many cases, the starting points where the industry’s advances move from words to action”.
Along these lines, Fernando Zubillaga, manager of the Mobility and Logistics Cluster, points out the opportunity provided by a trade fair event such as Logistics & Automation to showcase the Basque Country’s logistics offer in a tangible way. “Logistics has been essential in the management of the pandemic, the energy crisis and the war in Ukraine. Holding our Logistics Day together with this Fair means adding a space in which to advance in the efficiency of the management of the integral supply chain. We want to bring together innovation, the commercial offer and its market in the same place so that we can not only present the latest innovations for the most efficient, effective and sustainable logistics management, but also practical cases of application and a meeting point to respond to any concerns from our position as representatives of the logistics sector in the Basque Country”.
Registration to follow the event via streaming is now open. Check the full programme and register for free on the
website.
